The Yerevan Observatory

The Yerevan Observatory building was constructed in 1933 to a 1921 design by the architect A. Tamanyan.

The cylindrical building is faced with pinkish stone. At the top it has a metal dome and an open balcony with a round window, and at the base it is surrounded by a colonnade. Green trees stand all around.
