Young children of Yerevan, 1954

The photograph shows children living in Yerevan. It was taken in 1954. Four children, one boy and three girls, sit and stand close together. One of the girls has a long braid, and the other two have large bows in their hair.

The picture conveys the children’s world of the post-war city: modest clothing, sincere looks and a sense of togetherness. Today it is a valuable testimony to its time, its generation and a peaceful childhood.
