Silver object with a lion, 8th century BC

Silver object, 8th century BC, Kingdom of Ararat. It is kept in the British Museum.

A striding lion with a raised, curled tail is shown in relief on the cracked silver sheet. Plant ornaments appear above and below, and a row of bead-like dots runs along the edges.
