Rock Carving from the Armenian Highlands
The Armenian Highlands in prehistoric times.
Traces of the earliest human habitation have been found in various parts of the Armenian Highlands, at Arzni, Nurnus and elsewhere. Numerous rock carvings with hunting scenes have been discovered in the mountains. Archaeological excavations confirm that the inhabitants of the Highlands mastered many crafts in deep antiquity.
The photograph shows images carved into the surface of a rock: horned animals and other signs.
