Yenok Nazarian, ‘Portrait of Mariam Shalamian’, 1897. It is kept in Yerevan, at the National Gallery of Armenia.

The woman is shown in traditional dress. She wears a small dark cap with silver-coloured ornaments and a white lace veil over it. Her hair is plaited in two long braids. She wears a dark dress with a floral bodice, a gold-coloured chain on her chest and rings on her fingers.
