Bible Cover with the Crucifixion

An old Bible cover and reliquary with the image of Christ on the Cross, the work of Armenian craftsmen. It is made of gilded silver and decorated with pearls and precious stones.

In the centre is a relief of the crucified Christ with a halo. A row of pearls runs along the edges, and green, light blue and dark red stones are set around the cross, some of them ringed with pearls.
