Iron cross in Vanadzor by blacksmith Emil Sargsyan

The iron cross in Vanadzor is a unique work of art created by the blacksmith Emil Sargsyan. Every detail of the cross was made by hand, with special attention to traditional Armenian ornament.

The black metal structure has an arched top and resembles a khachkar. In the centre is a golden cross; below it are two birds and grapevine ornaments, and decorated columns stand at the sides. The plaque at the bottom reads “Blacksmith Emil Sargsyan” and bears the year 2020.
