General Andranik

On 25 February 1865 the great son of the Armenian people, General Andranik, was born. Andranik Toros Ozanian was one of the leaders of the Armenian national liberation movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and a national hero of the Armenian people. He is also known as Zoravar Andranik, General Andranik and Andranik Pasha. On 23 January 1918 he received the rank of major general.

He was born in Karahisar (Turkey) and died on 31 August 1927 in Richardson Springs (California, USA). Place of burial: Père Lachaise Cemetery, Paris.
