A relic from Ani with the Virgin and Jesus

The image shows a relic with the faces of the Holy Virgin Mary and Jesus, made in the 12th century in Ani, the former capital of Armenia. It is now kept in Italy, on the Armenian island of San Lazzaro.

A woman holding an infant is shown in relief on a small elongated object. The surface is worn.
