Armenian military leaders in the Soviet Union

Armenians gave the Soviet Union 148 generals (8 colonel generals, 31 lieutenant generals and 107 major generals), 4 marshals and 10 admirals, vice admirals and rear admirals. During the war years 106 Armenians were awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. After Russians and Belarusians, this is the third highest number of heroes in the country relative to population.
