Grigor Ter-Avagyan (Bidza) was a well-known priest and fedayi. He lived with his family in the village of Malishka, in present-day Yeghegnadzor, where Ter Grigor opened the first school. His fedayi nickname was Bidza. He led a whole detachment and was a company commander of a hundred men. He took part in the Khanasor expedition, came with his hundred to the aid of the self-defence of Van, and fought in the Battle of Sardarapat.

In the photograph he stands bearded, wearing a papakha and a chokha with cartridge holders on the chest, a dagger hanging from his belt and a rifle in his hand. A green bush is beside him.
