Aram Kajaznuni was the son of Hovhannes Kajaznuni, the first Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (1918–1919). He volunteered for the army and was killed in battle against Turkish forces.

The photograph shows a young man with a moustache, wearing a fur papakha and a chokha with rows of cartridge holders on both sides of the chest. A star can be seen on his shoulder strap. The portrait is set in an oval frame.
