Church of the Holy Resurrection in Dhaka
The Church of the Holy Resurrection was built in 1781. It belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church and stands in the Armanitola quarter of the old part of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest buildings in the city. Today the church is closed, and special permission from the authorities is required to enter.
The old photograph shows the front of the church with an arched entrance and a tall bell tower topped by a conical roof and a cross. Palm trees and other trees surround it.
