Repatriate’s travel ticket, 1946

A ticket home. This document is kept in the Musa Ler (Musa Dagh) museum. In 1946 Armenians from Beirut travelled to Armenia with such tickets.

The ticket is headed in Armenian and French, “Travel ticket”. Ticket No. 591 was issued for a family travelling from Beirut to Batum (Batumi): 4 adults over 10 years old and 1 child under 10, at a cost of 50 Lebanese pounds. It was issued in Beirut on 14 September 1946 by the Committee for the Repatriation of Armenians of Syria and Lebanon.
