Vazgen Andreasyan

The photograph shows Vazgen Andreasyan, an Armenian and French engineer, writer and public figure, a refugee who survived the Armenian Genocide. He is seated in a dark suit, his head resting on his hand, his eyes lowered.

Andreasyan took part in creating French military aircraft, and during his work the Griffon II aircraft set a world speed record. He also founded the French branch of Homenetmen, serving the organisation of Armenian youth.
