Silver women’s belt, Western Armenia

A silver women’s belt from Western Armenia, early 20th century.

The belt is made of oval plates decorated with dark scrolling floral patterns and edged with tiny metal balls. The gold-coloured buckle is covered with fine wirework ornament, with a rosette in the middle. The mark of the Houshamadyan website is in the corner of the photograph.
