Metal Mesh Purse from Western Armenia

A purse from Western Armenia, early 20th century.

The purse is made of a mesh of small metal links. At the top it has a metal frame with relief decoration and a clasp, to which a carrying chain is attached. Small tassels hang from the lower edge.
