Golden letters of the Armenian alphabet and golden cross

The golden letters of the Armenian alphabet and the golden cross are kept at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, in the residence of the Catholicos of All Armenians.

The two rectangular slabs are of light-coloured veined stone, framed with gilded ornament and coloured stones. On the left slab the golden letters are arranged in 6 rows, with the image of a bird surrounded by rays at the top. On the right slab is a large golden cross set with coloured stones, with two round ornaments below.
