The Armenian Bible Printed in Amsterdam
This Armenian Bible was printed in Amsterdam in 1666–1668 by order of Voskan Yerevantsi. It is kept in the History Museum of Armenia in Yerevan.
The book lies open at the illustration of Noah’s Ark, the work of Christoffel van Sichem. According to the source, Noah and two women are heading towards the ark, which a flock of birds and several land animals are about to enter.
Both pages are filled with Armenian text in two columns, and the illustration is in the upper part of the right-hand page.
