Bell of Tatev Monastery, 1304

An old bell displayed on the grounds of Tatev Monastery, dated 1304. The bell has great spiritual and cultural value.

The characteristic greenish patina formed by the oxidation of the bronze is visible on the bell. There are Armenian inscriptions on its surface, in the upper part and along the rim. Clay jars and other objects can be seen in the background.
