Yeghishe Tadevosyan, “Ararat”, 1914

“Ararat” (1914), a painting by the Armenian painter Yeghishe Tadevosyan, Honoured Art Worker of the Armenian SSR.

The painting shows snow-covered Ararat with its two peaks. At the foot of the mountain lies a village with trees, and in the foreground a person walks across a green field. The artist’s signature and the date “1914” appear in the lower left corner.
