Gampr puppies

The gampr is an ancient dog breed found across the Armenian Highlands. The word “gampr” can be understood as “strong”, “large” or “powerful”. In 2011 the breed was recognised by the International Kennel Union. The gampr has changed little and is one of the few native breeds not subjected to strict selection for appearance. Some types of the Caucasian shepherd dog (more precisely, the Caucasian wolfhound) are thought to descend from the Armenian gampr. If necessary, a gampr can kill a wolf on its own.

The photograph shows three fluffy puppies with light coats and dark facial markings in a person’s arms.
