The Armenian Cathedral of Nakhijevan
The Armenian Cathedral of Nakhijevan. It was built about 1,400 years ago and was demolished by Azerbaijanis about 20 years ago. When the head of the Nakhijevan Republic was asked why the ancient Armenian church had been demolished, he replied: ‘We demolished this church because Armenians never lived here.’
